STUDEBAKER BRACKETT PLLC seeks a motivated, experienced, and highly skilled Intellectual Property Associate with 2 to 5 years of trademark prosecution experience to join our team on a full-time, exclusive basis. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified candidate to support a growing trademark practice. \tRemote/work from home and/or on-site in Tysons, VA

Trademark Attorney Responsibilities:

 

· Correspond with clients regarding the preparation, filing, and prosecution of US and foreign trademark applications.

· Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications using the USPTO TSDR and TEAS systems.

· Handle US filings of foreign-originated applications, including those using the WIPO Madrid Protocol system.

· Correspond with clients regarding deadlines and inquiries concerning their trademark applications and registrations.

· Review client instructions and promptly respond to the client and/or Trademark Office.

· Prepare and file responses to USPTO Office Actions with or without explicit client instructions.

· Report filings and correspondence to clients.

· Review and docket Trademark Office correspondence and client correspondence, including review of daily dockets to ensure all dates are met.

Trademark Attorney Qualifications :

 

Must have:

· A minimum of two years of trademark prosecution experience, including managing workloads, preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. trademark applications. 

· Possess a strong understanding of USPTO and international IP procedures.

· Experience using the Trademark Office TSDR and TEAS systems.

· Excellent writing and communication skills; team-focused.

· Able to work independently to prioritize and execute tasks.

While not required, patent prosecution experience would be a plus and would be taken into consideration.
