This position will employ lean management techniques to plan, requisition, expedite urgent orders, and manage issues regarding the flow of supplies, including consignment and high-dollar items. It involves communication across all management levels, including Nursing, OR, Procedural Areas, and Clinical Labs. The role also includes vendor communication regarding supply chain issues such as expiration tracking, cycle counting, inventory management, product trials, backorder management, and storage organization. Conducts audits, prepares inventory reports, and proactively addresses shortages, stock outs, and cost savings. Performs research and data analysis to monitor Key Performance Indicators and collaborates with all Supply Chain areas on inventory management and optimization. Essential Job Functions Planning, ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory, including high-dollar products, with analysis on usage, availability, and cost-effectiveness. Manages tissue tracking per FDA standards and maintains regulatory logs. Analyzing inventory levels, preventing stock-outs, working with vendors for substitutes, and communicating stock levels and order statuses with clinical staff. Managing vendor relationships related to expiring items, cycle counts, product updates, and performance data. Making inventory management decisions, conducting par level reviews, and providing data for supply optimization and cost savings. Maintaining organized inventory areas, employing lean methodologies, and participating in process improvement activities. Supporting process improvement initiatives using tools like 5S, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping. Performing other duties as assigned.
