Job Description

Aquestia USA is a leading provider of hydraulic control valves and fluid management solutions, serving diverse industries including Waterworks, Fueling, Fire Protection and Industrial markets.

The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting department with a variety of tasks, gaining practical experience in job costing and financial accounting while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. They may help with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and data entry. Intern will also contribute to job costing projects by assisting with developing new reports and analysis.

Pay range $18-$20 per hour.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assisting with Accounts Payable and Receivable: Processing invoices, following up on payments, and reconciling accounts. Working on streamlining projects to reduce manual processes.
• Data Entry: Inputting financial data into accounting software systems and spreadsheets. 
• Reconciliations: Reconciling bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy. 
• General Accounting Tasks: Providing administrative support, filing documents, and performing other duties as assigned by senior accountants. 
• Forecasting: Assisting with financial forecasting for costing and comparing to actual results

Desired Skills and Qualifications: 

• Strong Academic Background: Demonstrated coursework in accounting and finance. 
• Proficiency in Software: Experience with data analysis software and Excel. 
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends. 
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping. 
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. 
• Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of financial principles and accounting practices. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.  
• May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
