Job Description Summary

Leads all aspects of credit risk management for all domestic and international merchant lending credit products at PayPal.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit risk management, including acquisition credit policy and customer management.
• Manage unit economics modeling leveraging CLTV frameworks.
• Drive credit-driven marketing programs.
• Collaborate with various teams to optimize outcomes.
• Develop testing frameworks and maintain reporting for portfolio performance.
• Manage portfolio within risk parameters.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary contact for merchant lending portfolios.
• Develop relationships with internal and external partners.
• Contribute to product, Collections, and Fraud strategies.

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead and develop a team of analysts and managers.
• Mentor, motivate, and provide feedback to team members.
• Foster an inclusive environment.

Influence, Collaboration, and Communication

• Present and defend strategies to leadership.
• Make confident decisions and contribute to broader discussions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in credit risk management or related field in fintech or banking.
• Experience with large data sets and analytical tools.
• Knowledge of credit risk trends and fraud risks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
