Senior Technical Sales Manager – Western Region
Location: Chicago, IL, or San Diego, CA (Preferred)
Travel Requirement: 20%–40% (Western U.S.)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Vitrek is looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Sales Manager to lead sales and business development efforts for our advanced test & measurement instrumentation across the Western U.S. This role is ideal for a technically proficient, results-driven professional with a proven track record in technical sales, account management, and customer engagement.
As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, expanding market presence, and providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and distribution partners to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and build long-term strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise & Sales Support:Develop a deep understanding of Vitrek’s electronic instrumentation and measurement solutions and their applications.
Lead technical discussions and product demonstrations for end-users, OEMs, and distributors.
Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
Provide application guidance, post-sales support, and troubleshooting assistance.
Identify opportunities for new product development based on customer needs.
Identify and qualify new sales opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Manage key accounts, distribution partners, and system integrators to maximize growth.
Drive revenue through direct technical sales and strategic account management.
Represent Vitrek at trade shows, industry events, and lead-generation initiatives.
Collaborate with the sales team to forecast revenue and provide sales reporting.
Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
Contribute to new product strategies and market expansion initiatives.
Provide customer insights to support product innovation and business growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or applications engineering.
Strong understanding of electronic instrumentation and measurement systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and performance data.
Experience working with systems integrators and OEMs.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and proactive.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to travel 20%–40% throughout the Western region.
