Senior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager Position Summary: The Senior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager plays a critical role in leading and managing complex, enterprise-level IT projects and programs that align with HCP’s strategic objectives. This position is responsible for the successful delivery of cross-functional technical initiatives, including system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity, and digital transformation efforts. The Senior IT Project Manager will serve as a bridge between IT and business operations, ensuring that solutions meet technical requirements and organizational goals within established timelines and budgets.
Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities: - Lead and manage multiple, complex IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee day-to-day project management tasks, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
- Partner with internal departments, end users, and external vendors to define project requirements, success metrics, and timelines.
- Coordinate all technical aspects of a project across the secure system development lifecycle (SDLC) .
- Monitor and resolve project issues, escalate risks as needed, and drive resolution strategies to maintain project momentum.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation (charters, schedules, status reports, change logs, issue trackers).
- Facilitate regular status meetings and executive updates, translating technical details into clear business terms.
- Support integration of clinical and business information systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts tied to project execution (e.g., software implementation, cloud services, infrastructure upgrades).
- Ensure compliance with internal IT governance, data security, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- Analyze project performance and post-implementation metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualification Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities - Serve as primary project lead for system upgrades, migrations, cloud deployments, cybersecurity initiatives, and data center enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with developers, analysts, and system administrators for execution.
- Participate in infrastructure planning and application implementation projects.
- Ensure adherence to technical best practices, ITIL/Agile methodologies, and IT security protocols.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth project integration into existing IT environments.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current IT trends, tools, and technologies to inform strategic project planning.
Training/Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- PMP Certification is required.
- Master's degree and Six Sigma certification preferred.
- ITIL, Agile/Scrum, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience: - Minimum of 7+ years of project management experience with direct responsibility over IT/technical projects .
- At least 5 years leading large-scale, cross-functional teams in complex healthcare or enterprise IT environments.
- Proven success managing initiatives with system implementations, cloud transformation, cybersecurity programs, infrastructure upgrades, or application development .
- Experience with vendor management, system integration, and managing IT contracts.
Compensation: Salary Range: $135,000 - $152,000 annual
Bonus Incentive: Up to 5% based on organizational performance
