Job Title : Principal Systems & Electrical Engineer – Siemens Capital

Location : Foster City, CA (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Job Type : Full-Time or Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens Capital and Power Architecture Design . This position offers the opportunity to lead high-voltage system development and contribute to innovative electrical systems in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system architecture design for high-voltage and low-voltage domains
• Utilize Siemens Capital for electrical modeling and harness design
• Drive BMS development and integration of charging systems (J1772, J3068)
• Conduct DFMEA and ensure compliance with UL and other relevant standards
• Perform system-level debugging using CAN, UART, and SPI protocols
• Mentor offshore teams and lead cross-functional technical reviews

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Capital
• Expertise in:

* Power architecture design

* Battery Management Systems (BMS)

* HV distribution (400V–480V)

* Charging protocols: J1772, J3068

• Familiarity with DFMEA and compliance standards (e.g., UL)
• Experience with system validation and PCB design

Preferred Skills

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to guide global/offshore teams
• Strong understanding of embedded communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI)
