The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, including overseeing installation, programming, start-up, testing, and documentation of access control and IP Video systems. The Project Manager must lead technicians and subcontractors, read installation drawings, and communicate effectively with the Installation Supervisor. They should be personable, knowledgeable, and proactive in making sound decisions remotely, adapting project plans based on field conditions, and coordinating with stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for working closely with subcontractors and customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain professionalism in attitude and appearance. Supervise installation of access control and IP Video systems per engineered drawings. Conduct meetings at the office and on-site. Control project costs and manage invoicing. Forecast project finances from start to completion. Write and manage scope of work documents for subcontractors. Manage subcontractors and company installers. Create and execute project schedules. Perform job analysis, identifying labor and material shortages. Travel up to 20% of the time, sometimes on short notice. Identify and resolve issues impacting productivity. Complete all necessary paperwork, including site documents and as-built drawings. Maintain a safe, clean work environment. Follow all safety programs and protocols. Maintain a safe driving record and report incidents immediately. Attend required product and safety training. Requirements: Experience with low-voltage and/or electrical installation projects. PMI or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum 5 years of field experience in security systems. Experience with Software House, Lenel, Genetec, and AMAG Access Control platforms preferred. Experience with Genetec, Exacq, Axis, American Dynamics, or other IP Video products preferred. Experience installing door hardware. Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings. Experience marking up or redlining drawings post-installation. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project. Basic knowledge of IP networking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills.
