Job DescriptionThe primary role of a Phlebotomist is to assist in performing various duties, troubleshooting issues, providing training, and making workflow recommendations. This position involves experience in blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information.
ResponsibilitiesThe role is based in the Phlebotomy/Lab department at Thomas Hospital, an extremely busy hospital with long hallways, requiring lots of standing and walking. The schedule includes Monday to Friday plus every other weekend, with 8-hour shifts. Available shifts are 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM and 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 7 AM. No vacation or time-off requests are allowed during the contract period.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
