Role Summary: Machinist

As a Machinist , you will bring your extensive knowledge of various machines—including vertical & horizontal mills, lathes, and grinders—to our team. Your expertise will be crucial in setting up and machining parts from raw materials, as well as modifying existing components. You’ll work independently, following route sheets and drawings, while selecting the right tools and settings to meet our high standards.

Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM CST

Your Responsibilities:

As a Machinist, you will:

• Ensure safety for yourself and your colleagues.
• Follow pre-job briefs and checklists before machining.
• Adhere to all routers and machining procedures.
• Machine parts using various equipment, including manual horizontal boring mills and vertical lathes.
• Work efficiently within fixed time windows.
• Maintain tolerances within .0005" and inspect parts using micrometers and gauges.
• Read prints and execute based on provided data.
• Fabricate tooling as part of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, engineers, and customers.
• Encourage teamwork and problem-solving.
• Work with a variety of metals, including stainless steels and carbon steel.
• Comply with all Flowserve policies regarding safety and productivity.

What You Bring:

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CNC setup, operation, and programming experience.
• Personal set of tools, including micrometers and hand grinders.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and process.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Computer skills, including MS Office.
• 2+ years of manual machining experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong drive and a “can do” attitude.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $27.22 - $40.83 per hour .
