Join to apply for the Heavy Equipment Associate Operator role at Denver Water . Under direct supervision, perform skilled work in the operation of heavy construction equipment used in Denver Water operations. Operate equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, motor graders, dozers, cranes, dump trucks, boring machines, sweepers, snowcat, snowmobiles, bobcat, deck mowers, and boom mower. Responsibilities include: Operating all equipment on respective job sites, including lubrication, maintenance, and repairs during use. Applying knowledge of highway rules and regulations regarding loads, lengths, and widths, using Engineering Standards and Operating Rules. Assisting in installation, repair, and maintenance of water pipelines, hydrants, valves, and related components. Handling materials such as pipes, chemicals, cement, and lumber; performing unskilled duties like weed cutting. Using tools and resources like electronic locators, measuring wheels, maps, and GIS systems to locate water infrastructure. Performing on-call duties, working shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required, outdoors in various weather conditions. Participating in safety programs and training to stay updated on equipment operation and safety practices. Performing related duties as needed.
