Grinding Machinists
Location:
Bloomfield, CT
Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to produce parts to exact specifications, often holding tolerances of ±.0002.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to inspect finished products, ensuring they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and performance.
• Work collaboratively with quality control, engineering, and production teams to resolve any machining or design issues.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational or technical training is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency with manual machining equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, including tooling setup, feeds and speeds, and material properties.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with machining processes and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Pay Rate:

• $25-30/ Hour – Depending on Experience
