General Manager | Nature Link Resort (Columbia Hospitality Executive Search) Nature Link Resorts is a premier hospitality destination nestled in the heart of Nisswa, MN. Nature Link Resorts is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and uphold our commitment to excellence in hospitality and connecting our guests with nature. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a resort setting, with a proven track record of success in managing operations. The General Manager must also have experience driving revenue, familiarity with booking platforms and systems, be technology-driven, have excellent guest satisfaction ratings, and be a strong team developer. As a General Manager, you will work directly with our staff daily and weekly with the ownership team as we continue to expand our resort. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives, enhance guest experiences, and drive revenue growth. Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with standards and regulations. Guest Satisfaction: Foster a culture of exceptional guest service, continuously seeking opportunities to exceed expectations and address concerns promptly. Financial Management: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, optimizing revenue, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Sales Focus: Oversee and drive sales efforts in collaboration with our marketing and sales team to meet and exceed sales goals. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate staff, fostering a positive environment and opportunities for growth. Quality Assurance: Maintain standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations. In Person Position: This role requires in-person presence, especially during peak summer months with 40+ hours per week. Construction/Owner Facilitation: Involved in owner meetings, contractor collaborations, and project timelines to ensure new phases are ready for opening. Marketing and Sales: Collaborate on strategies to attract and retain guests, increase occupancy, and enhance brand reputation. Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with local community, partners, and team, exemplifying our company's values. Focus on Luxury: Continuously improve and maintain a luxury guest experience. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years as a General Manager in hospitality, preferably in a resort. 3+ years in hospitality sales. Technology-savvy with experience in Excel, hospitality platforms, and social media. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related; Master's preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven financial management and revenue optimization experience. Understanding of hospitality operations and industry trends. Passion for sustainability and conservation. Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office. Experience managing luxury properties. Hospitality management certifications (e.g., CHA, CHRM) are a plus. Proficiency in “Traction EOS” is a plus.
