Position Summary

The Director of Workplace Culture is a strategic leader dedicated to building a thriving, inclusive, and values-driven work environment. At QXO, we believe culture isn’t a perk — it’s the foundation of our success.

In this role, you’ll shape and lead initiatives that turn our values into everyday experiences — driving engagement, strengthening belonging, and ensuring our culture evolves with the needs of our people. You’ll use data and employee feedback to guide decision-making and partner with senior leaders to turn insights into clear, actionable strategies.

This role is highly collaborative and influential, ensuring culture efforts are thoughtfully integrated into business priorities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Listen & Act:

  • Lead the strategy, design, and execution of company-wide surveys and pulse checks that surface key insights about the employee experience.
  • Analyze results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across teams and functions.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate data into clear, accountable action plans that drive measurable improvements in engagement, inclusion, and culture.
  • Establish a continuous listening framework that ensures employee voices inform decision-making at every level.

Culture Strategy & Program Design:

  • Design, implement, and evolve culture-enhancing programs that reflect and amplify the organization’s values and mission.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of culture initiatives and adapt them to support organizational growth and transformation.

Recognition & Traditions:

  • Oversee and innovate employee recognition programs and company traditions to reinforce appreciation, build connection, and celebrate shared successes

Internal Communications Partnership:

  • Collaborate closely with Internal Communications to craft and deliver consistent, inspiring, and inclusive messaging that supports culture and engagement efforts.

Training & Enablement:

  • Set the overarching culture strategy and develop learning programs that build awareness, drive behavior change, and foster a respectful, inclusive workplace.

HRBP Collaboration:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to interpret survey data, identify trends, and implement targeted action plans to improve the employee experience.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in culture, engagement, organizational development, or a related HR discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in leading culture and engagement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Deep understanding of how inclusion, recognition, and employee voice contribute to business performance.
  • Strong communicator with a gift for storytelling and translating strategy into action.
  • Experience managing ERGs, surveys, and leadership alignment on people-related initiatives.
  • Passion for creating a culture where people feel valued, connected, and empowered to do their best work.
