Allegiance Staffing is currently seeking:

Position: Concrete Finisher

Shift: M-Th 6am-6pm

Pay: $16-20/hr

Location: Kinston, NC

Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Finishers to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in all aspects of concrete finishing, from layout and form-setting to pouring, finishing, and polishing surfaces. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and site supervisors

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site layout and prepare areas for concrete work in accordance with project specifications.
• Set and secure forms to hold concrete in place during the curing process.
• Clean and inspect surfaces before pouring to identify and resolve any issues.
• Coordinate with truck drivers to direct the casting of concrete into forms.
• Pour, level, and smooth concrete using hand tools including rakes, trowels, floats, and screeds.
• Monitor weather conditions and their impact on curing to ensure high-quality finishes.
• Finish edges, create expansion joints, and smooth out surfaces as required.
• Install embedded items such as anchor bolts, steel plates, and fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
• Polish and surface concrete using abrasives and mechanical polishing tools.
• Take accurate measurements to ensure work aligns with blueprints and construction plans.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to determine material requirements and proper finishing methods.
• Create forms, patterns, and foundations in line with job specifications.
• Apply finishing techniques including sealing and protective coatings to ensure durability and aesthetic quality.
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools related to concrete finishing.
• Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing methods.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to a safe work environment.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
