Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a Clinical Data Conversion Manager to lead projects that involve moving healthcare data from one electronic medical record (EMR) system to another. This is an individual contributor role, but one that requires strategic thinking and leadership. You'll work hands-on with data migration and integration, especially around Athena Health (experience with AthenaOne tables is a big plus), and play a key role in helping healthcare practices make smooth transitions between systems.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills (particularly in SQL and APIs,) and deep experience in the healthcare industry—specifically in clinical data conversion.

Requirements:
  • Lead the technical side of EMR data conversions and migrations
  • Develop tools and solutions to move healthcare data between systems
  • Oversee integration projects and make sure they run smoothly
  • Work directly with clients and vendors to manage expectations and deliverables
  • Translate technical details into simple terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Support the development of dashboards and visual reports for operational use
  • Create and follow best practices for data quality and governance
  • Plan and manage multiple projects, including upgrades and new system implementations
  • Provide strategic insight while being hands-on with technical tasks
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience—must have worked in the healthcare industry
  • Past experience migrating data between EMR systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of Athena Health (especially AthenaOne), eCW, NextGen, or Allscripts is acceptable
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with APIs, and data conversion
  • Familiar with HL7, FHIR, and other integration standards
  • Able to manage projects independently and communicate effectively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical creativity
Nice to Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, Oracle SQL Developer
  • Background in both on-premises and cloud-based healthcare systems
  • Ability to lead and train others in technical workflows
