Job Description

This role is a hybrid position for a Certified PEGA Senior Systems Architect located in Trenton, NJ. The architect will evaluate existing systems and user needs to design and implement information system changes. Responsibilities include developing and modifying PEGA programs, unit testing, documentation, and participating in system testing. The position requires extensive experience in PEGA development, object-oriented programming, and various technologies including databases and application servers. The architect will collaborate with business analysts and other IT professionals to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, New Jersey, United States

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate existing systems and user needs.
- Analyze, design, recommend, and implement information system changes.
- Develop and/or modify PEGA programs.
- Unit test developed programs.
- Develop supporting documentation.
- Participate in system testing with business analysts and users.
- Write system requirements based on business requirements.
- Implement various functionalities, including user experiences and complex case management.
- Collaborate with ITO and assigned units to develop technical solutions.
- Attain a complete understanding of requirements and key concepts (rule resolution, class structure design, reusability).
- Implement a wide array of functionality from building high-quality user experiences to implementing complex case management requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- PEGA Certified Senior System Architect certification.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience post PEGA SSA certification.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience (5 years of PEGA experience after acquiring PEGA Certification) in all phases of object-oriented software development (design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support).
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing solutions utilizing PEGA.
- 5 years of experience in Reporting.
- 5 years of experience in Integration of applications using various methods available in PEGA (SOAP, REST, DB, MQ, and email).
- 5 years of experience in Application design/Case design.
- 5 years of experience implementing SSO security for PEGA applications and security rule types of PEGA.
- 5 years of experience in Data Modeling.
- 5 years of experience in automation of existing business process/policies utilizing PEGA rules.
- 5 years of experience supporting large-scale business-centric applications.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and applicability of Object-Oriented techniques and principles.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with WebSphere or WebLogic.
- Experience with J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java).
- Experience with .NET.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, or MS/SQL databases.
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Special Considerations:

- Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence in Trenton 2 days per week.
- Absences greater than two weeks require prior approval from management and provision of contact information. Failure to return by the agreed-upon date may result in dismissal.
- One-hour unpaid lunch.

Scheduling:

- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Trenton. Specific scheduling details will be discussed.
