DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for a Production Artist II to join the Global Sports Apparel team. This role amplifies production by delivering flawless execution on production-ready files and is a trusted resource within the team through creation of detailed and accurate schematics. This role demands a balance of accuracy, speed, and high-volume creation. The candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time sensitive environment keeping production moving forward.
The AP Design Excellence department is looking for Graphic Designers to support the GSA Production Artist Digital Design Studio team. This is a seasonal role and will help with special projects. They will work on technical drawing schematics for graphic designs on Sport Uniforms and Tee-shirts. Their work is then used by manufacturers to create the product per the designers specifications.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working on highly visible product across sports and professional leagues. This is where sport, design and culture meet and where we are redefining apparel for both athletes and fans. You will work with design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product, from on athlete to retail. You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences.
You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools. A typical day could include Production Art meetings and alignment, high-volume graphic schematic creation and laydown page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs. Addition to creation you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval. You will get to learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Production Art Studio Sr. Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Apparel and Graphic Production Artists.
You will be working on product across multiple sport dimensions, focusing primarily on basketball uniforms to help support seasonal category apparel graphic product creation. This opportunity will require independent and highly detailed thinking.
